After debuting at an idol age, Yangpa is one of the few non-idols that are able to break through the idol craze in the k-pop industry. She's taken a few long hiatuses along the way of her career, but they never deterred her fans from staying true.

Known for her powerful vocals behind a cute and feminine face, Yangpa had even started prepping for a US music debut. Unfortunately, plans didn't exactly follow through. She also went through some management related issues that led to a six year break, before releasing the new album "The Windows Of My Soul". She studied music at Berklee's School of Music and worked with many notable artists along the path of her career.

After another two, three years or so of not actively promoting her music, she released her special album in 2011, featuring the song "It Hurts...Owie". Despite the saturation of idol stars during that time, she still managed to become one of the top artists on the prestigious GAON charts. Her emotional and powerful vocals still manages to move people after over fifteen years of being in the industry.
