A modern-day Cinderella singer has emerged in k-pop. Rookie singer Hi.ni was discovered personally by the ultra prominent head CEO figure, Jung Tae-won. Jung is a veteran producer who played a role in making dramas like "Iris" and "Athena" into major hits. He also was partially responsible for pushing Baek Ji-young and Taeyeon into OST queen status.

Jung helped Hi.ni debut by giving her the opportunity to sing the OST track "But I Miss You" for the cable network drama "The Third Hospital", starring Kim Seung-woo, Oh Ji-ho, Kim Min-jung, and Girls Generation's Soo-young.

Hi.ni was actually the one who sang the guide version of the song for professional singers to lean the melody of the song from. His decision to cast a totally unknown rookie singer took all the other producers by surprise.

The young talent is currently a student studying practical music and has six years of professional vocal training under her belt. Her voice is being described as mid-low tone with an element of soul that's found most often in R&B music.

Veteran singer Yangpa has complimented Hi.ni, saying that it would've been a waste to have let Hi.ni only continue as a guide vocalist.

"But I Miss You" starts off low, spreading out on a grander scale featuring orchestra strings and strong drum beats. It will be a regularly featured song for the love theme of the drama "The Third Hospital".
