이상철 - 안녕하세요 부산에 사는 50대 김건모님의 팬입니다.
최근에 발표된 "어디쯤 가고있을까"를 매일 수없이 반복해서 듣고 있습니다.
오래간만에 싱글앨범으로 어쿠스틱한 cover곡을 발표해주셔서 너무나도 감사합니다.
또, 어쿠스틱한 음악을 좋아하는 저에게는 이번 앨범이 더 없는 축복이기도 합니다.
제가 현재 사람들이 많이 모이는 곳을 쉽게 가지못하는 상황이라....
하이파이오디오로 주로 음악감상을 하고 있는데요...
김건모님의 목소리와 기타 및 드럼, 퍼커션 등의 악기와 분리도와 배치 등이 좀더 명확하게 들리면 좋지않을까...라는 생각을 해보게 되었습니다.
요즘은 세션분들과 동시에 라이브레코딩을 하시지는 않는 걸로 알고 있습니다.(혹시...그렇게 레코딩된 곡인가요...?^^;)
해외 유명가수들의 어쿠스틱한 음악들을
타이달과 같은 고음질 음원사이트를 통해 들어보면 상당한 레코딩과 마스터링 퀄리티가 느껴집니다.
요즘은 아무래도 주로...이어폰 아니면 블루투스 스피커 등으로 음원들을 감상하는 추세이다보니
어쩔수 없는 가보다...라고 스스로 위안을 해보기도 합니다.
24년 리마스터링 된 김건모님의 음원만을 주로 듣다가
오래간만에 발표된 싱글앨범을 감사하게 감상하면서
갑자기 떠오른 저의 개인적인 욕심이 있어 몇자 적어 봅니다.
어려운 일 겪으시고 6여년만에 다시 힘내주신 김건모님을.....조용히, 하지만... 좀 더 단단하게 응원해봅니다.
그래서인지 이번 곡에서 김건모님의 목소리에는 여러가지 생각과 감정들이 느껴지나 봅니다.
언제인지 모를 그때까지 노래해주시면
저도 그 마지막까지 듣겠습니다.

America250 Unveils Monumental National Birthday Cake Tribute at the Library of Congress
On July 4, 2026, America250 officially unveiled its National Birthday Cake Tribute during a special ceremony at the Library of Congress, celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary with a one-of-a-kind artistic tribute created by renowned cake artist Grace Pak, owner of Duchess of Cameron.
Designed as a gift to the nation, the monumental sculptural cake celebrates America’s people, places and traditions through handcrafted elements representing all 50 states, Washington, D.C. and the U.S. territories, alongside artwork created by winners of America250’s America’s Field Trip student contest. The project was made possible through volunteer support, private funding and contributions from partners across the country, with historical consultation from the Smithsonian Institution and Colonial Williamsburg.
The ceremony was livestreamed on America’s Block Party Live allowing audiences across the country to join the celebration, while a full audience filled the Library of Congress.
The program featured welcome remarks from America250 VP of Government Relations Thomas Jensen, followed by remarks from Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX) and Rudy Yakym (R-IN). The ceremony also included the presentation of the Flag Sojourn from the National Flag Foundation, symbolizing the continued journey of the American flag as part of the nation’s Semiquincentennial celebration. Guests also heard from Mark Boyce of the Scottish Government, who presented the Tartan Award recognizing the enduring friendship and shared heritage between Scotland and the United States, before Grace Pak shared the story behind the creation of the National Birthday Cake Tribute.
During the ceremonial cake cutting, Representatives Gonzalez and Yakym joined Pak in cutting the first slice before the inaugural pieces were presented to Tiger Scout Harrison Yang and Daisy Scout Anneke Ziemke, representing the next generation of Americans. Cake was then served to attendees gathered for the celebration.
Inspired by the longstanding tradition of marking milestone birthdays with cake, Pak envisioned the tribute as a unifying symbol of the nation’s history and future. Created over several months with the support of volunteer pastry chefs, artisans and partners, the installation combines American craftsmanship, agricultural heritage and stories from communities across the country into a single work of edible art.
The National Birthday Cake Tribute will next be on public display at the White House Visitor Center until August 2, where visitors will have the opportunity to experience this unique centerpiece of America250’s nationwide commemoration.
